Party Planning handles the concept + coordination + programme. Decoration handles the visual side, cake table, backdrop, florals. Most parties book both.

Full-month: typically at 30 days old, smaller, immediate family + closest friends, often at home, low-key decor. 1st birthday (周岁): baby is 1 year old, guest list wider (extended family + friends), often at a venue, more elaborate decor and photography, sometimes includes 抓周 ceremony. Both are meaningful in Chinese-Malaysian culture, different scales.
The 抓周 objects (usually 6 to 12 items: book for scholar, calculator for finance, stethoscope for medicine, brush for arts, etc.) are laid out on a low table. Baby sits, is placed in the centre, and picks whichever they crawl to first. We help with object selection, table styling (photograph-ready), timing (right after cake, before photo session), and family-safe photo positioning.
1 to 3 months is comfortable. Peak weekends (public holidays, cultural festivals) can fill up 2 to 3 months out. We take shorter timelines when crew is available, but with reduced scope.
20 to 60. Below 20 doesn’t need a planner (host can handle themselves). Above 80 the intimate feel starts to slip. Sweet spot is 30 to 50 for a single-sitting seated dinner.
Both work. Home celebrations feel most personal but need enough space (dining area for guests, kitchen access for catering, parking). Venue celebrations are lower stress: someone else handles cleanup, more consistent atmosphere. We’ve done both.
